Good Execution = Success

What factors do you need:
1. A Product/Service worth Execution will help you maintain your “passion” for your product thru the long & tough times, until you succeed.
2. Setting SMART Goals.
· Specific to the milestone you want to achieve.
· Measureable to determine if you met your expectations.
· Achievable / reasonable / attainable
· Relevant to your Product/Service to measure your success.
· Timely, so that you set an ambitious period to accomplish goal
3. Put Un-Measureable Goals in your Vision statement (ie, create a better work environment, more content workers, etc).
4. Communicate your Goals to all in your organization. Ask them for feedback on what they think of the Goals. Change goals, if a significant amount of people, your Management Team & you agree.
5. Review Goals frequently (weekly, monthly, quarterly – as appropriate). Get a commitment from the Goal Owner, as to when to expect it to be completed.
6. Follow thru on an Issue, until it’s resolved or irrelevant. Have frequent Status meetings (ie, weekly on critical issues), to measure progress, what needs to be done next & any resources needed.
7. Celebrate the Achievement of all significant Goals. Recognize significant contributors, reward the best with what they want (cash, stock, options, time off, etc)
8 Establish a Culture of Execution by the Founders, CEO, Management Team & Key employees by: meeting goals, listening to & resolving customer & employee issues, communicating the organization’s values, appreciating everyone’s contribution, and trying to involve everyone in setting & meeting the organization’s goals. This will make your organization a more “enjoyable” place to work and inspire more loyalty & creativity.
9. Success is determined more by Execution, than any other factor in running a business. There are lots of great ideas & promises of products, but no one will know, if you don’t make an impact in your market with good “execution”.
